Where did the summer go?

Summer is coming to a close and the kids are gearing up for school again!
I have everyone set with new shoes and a few new outfits. We really could not go cray this year with 5 in school!
Naomi is quite nervous about going back, but she will be fine! She needs to come out of her shell!
Life in our new home is not taken for granted, we still love it here. We got to try out a couple toys through buzz agent this summer, kids were thrilled to say the least. I am not a person who likes to "waste" money on toys (anymore) and so these were real treats. The kids are growing up so fast. pictured beow is Naomi, Kai-Li and my niece Kaylah

School is almost over! It's hard to believe! Mr.Kobe turned 2, and he is still a little terror, but not quite as bad as Bailey was at this age....still naughty though :)
We plan on hanging around and doing as little as possible this summer, although I am sure I will be making a few beach trips, I am a home body and enjoy being at home!

a post!

Well I guess I should update! Things are going really well, I am not making money yet, but I feel as if I am very blessed and that in time I will.
The kids are great as well. Jaden finally after all these years has an IEP in place with para help in each class and they are going to utilize his i pad in the class room as much as possible.
Bailey is super smart getting very good grades in Kindergarten above grade level. I an certain he won't follow in his brothers foot steps. His favorite word to spell is still POOP but you know he's six what do you expect.
Naomi is at home with me, she was too shy and wouldn't talk in class to her friends or teachers, she is so smart and talkative at home, and the teacher was hinting that something was wrong, I just decided to wait anther year they grow up so fast and she is a sponge she can learn as much even socialization at home and at home she is much more comfortable to socialize. So we will give it a whirl next year.
Kai-Li is blossoming into such a little lady. She loves to read and write in her diary. She is really responsible with her belongings and takes care of personal hygiene etc without being asked. Just an easy kid to have all around. She has really come out of her shell at school to and the child who was once like Naomi and wouldn't talk is now miss social butterfly.
Jasmine is my sporty one, she is in a girls hockey league now and LOVES it they had their first major game and had to play against girls a lot bigger then they are! She also plays basketball and loves that as well.
Kobe is a little terror yet such a mamas boy he is all boy but smart as a whip about talking, favorite phrase is "mumee I break it" Yes I have to watch that boy like a hawk!
When we had our fist litter of pups I woke up to find Kobe in the whelping box with an arm full of pups, "awwww puppy!" I almost had a heart attack!
Other than that life is GREAT! We love our own place, we are living a nice life now we could have only dreamed of in our little tiny apartment! Only complaint I have? Life is just going by way too quickly!

I had an inspection on Friday and passed. Also Olivia is expecting, I am so excited, I hope things start turning around for me. It has been a long time coming!
The weather is turning very cool here. And all the leaves are turning. Time for the wood stove once again! Darn it all! Not my favorite thing for sure!

Poor Bailey!

Ahhh, I have neglected to blog about this, but it has been a thorn in my side all summer. MRSA, look it up it's not cute. It is basically a staph infection that can live on surfaces for days and in the air as well, it can be passed from a sneeze...and can live in your nasal passage...oh man, it is a pain to get rid of!
My poor Jasmine was the first of the victims, she had spent time at her Dad's house when I was in the hospital. And developed a really painful boil on her back and other small ones in other places. Later I found out her father had had a boil at the time she was there, and that they had kept returning, but he had never gone to the Dr about it. So another nice gift from the ex...
The Dr. had drained Jasmine's boil and given her a prescription and I thought all was well...no.
The next on the list was Jaden and Kai-Li, both getting boils next to a cut, more meds more draining of painful disgusting boils, and these things just get bigger and bigger, the only thing that gets rid of them is this nasty antibiotic that can make some people really ill. Poor Kai-Li had several on her knee where she scrapped her knee, the bacteria goes in through cuts, and it was so painful for her to  have me drain them, basically scrape the top off and squeeze the puss out when it would start to look red. Then Bailey on his butt, I caught this one quickly one day when it was small and it drained and he was on meds and it went away, then Jaden got one on his back that was really bad, meds again. Then now just today Bailey has another one on his butt and now he has a fever, because he didn't want to tell me about it for fear of the painful draining. Uhg, the Dr. says he might have to be put on IV antibiotics if his fever doesn't go away with the mouth antibiotics. I am so over this! I have to give the kids baths in bleach to try and get rid of this nasty bacteria we have going on. I hope we can get rid of it, I do not wish it one anyone!

More stress!

So I just found out we are not 100% in the clear for the house until closing, before closing they do another quick check of your credit and employment! AHHHH!!
The other thing is finding insurance that isn't sky high for a house that is built in 1850....knob and tube wiring is still evident, but not in use, but for some reason my inspector decided to write the fact that it's still presesnt and not removed in the report and so that scared a couple insurers...
I went online and looked for quotes some of the people that called me were obviously from down south and when I mentioned an 1850 wood built home they about pooped their pants...I guess it's pretty unheard of anywhere but up here where that is pretty typical of the houses around here, most of them are at least 100 years old.
Well I am going to keep a positive attitude, but it's not over until it's over!
The house is not quite in the bag yet folks, fingers crossed, but still going to be apprehensive until it's all over.
