Three baby tickers...

I know a couple blog readers get freaked out by the spinning baby widgets...:P
But I have three one is for the actual due date. One is for the 34 weeks and the last is for Mother's day!
I am so excited to be able to wait. The baby hopefully will be able to come home and room in with me! My children love to see babies especially mine.
My kids are all coming today after school. I can't wait to see them!!! They must be having the time of their lives!!

Still here...:)

So it has been about 40 days since I got here, all kind of emotions have gone through me.

I am so happy he is almost 34 weeks  I cannot believe I made it this far.
The kids are doing fine except for Jaden, I think he has been counting down and thought maybe tomorrow would be the day, but I explained to him that if the baby stays in only one more week we can bring him home with us and he won't have to stay here. I just hope that that happens, I really want everything to be OK, but I have been scared for so long, I just can't let go of the worry.
GJ had to bring Naomi to the ER on Friday, he has a double ear infection. It's her first ear infection. My kids have been very lucky and do not seem prone to them.
But he was sent home with 10 days of antibiotics and some ear drops which are a pain killer. I wish i knew what the Dr. had said. He couldn't tell me and didn't think to give the paperwork to my Mom. It is REALLY frustrating not being able to communicate on things like this and the language barrier gets hard. It's a test for sure on our love for each other. When you are in love you think language is no barrier, but when you have five plus kids and you aren't there to manage care, trust me it's a big barrier! He is good most of the time, but as far as listening to a Dr. he kind of loses it all...he mentioned something was in both ears....but couldn't tell me any details...

Oh well, hard to micro manage when I am in a hospital 45 minutes away!

Don't I have some good looking kids?

Man, I am knocked out with a sinus infection, at first I thought maybe I was wrong about the flu mist and that my kids had just caught a common flu when I came down with a 102 fever and headache, but as I felt the pressure on my eyes and could barely even move them without it hurting, I realized I have a full blown sinus infection. I used to get them like once a year and always ended up in the walk-in clinic for a dose of antibiotics.....

Ever since I moved here though I have been fine, but I guess my luck only lasts so long....DARN! I was up all night last night with a pounding headache in my eyes and fever chills...fun times, I finally took like three ibuprofen and passed out after the headache finally went away...still feel the pressure though!

9-28-09
So, I feel a teeny bit better today, but not 100%, so glad I don't have to work today though!
The kids are all healthy now for the time being, which makes me even more sure about the flu mist being the culprit, when one is sick they all get sick, but Jaden, Naomi and Kai-Li (although she had a bad headache after) all remained puke and fever free.....than goodness!
Wow, it must be so exciting reading my blog lately...all about illnesses...ya, that's us.

poor baby

As many of you know I choose to wait until 2 years to vaccinate my children. Well one of the downsides to that is that until two years they could catch something not so nice.
* (Just looked it up, and supposedly the vaccine for rubella isn't given until later on, so she may have gotten it whether or not I vaccinate early.)
Well, guess who caught German measles? Yup, you guessed it, my only child under age two!
It's a mild illness, so nothing really worrisome, although it is itchy as it begins to heal.
It started with a rash on the legs and now is a full body rash. I'm going to post pictures in the morning (it's 3:26am now and she is sleeping, but she has been wanting to be nursing like all the time......)
Well, I guess if you want to look on the bright side, she is as good as vaccinated after this and won't have to worry about ever getting it again. I am just trying to wrack my brain as to where she may have picked it up, and the first guess would be at the Dr.'s office last week when I brought Jaden in for an appointment....gotta really love those Dr.'s office toys...ah hem....the funny thing is as I was bringing the there I was thinking to myself "hmmm, I wonder what we will pick up from there this time?" I guess I got my answer.

She is so silly.
The kids have been settling back into the school routine. It's amazing how fast the time goes. The leaves are already turning color. I really love this time of year though, so I don't mind.
Last night at the restaurant was really busy, but I handled it pretty well. I only make money about one day. The other days it's hit or miss really.
I think when the kids get a but older I might try and train as a respiratory therapist, I have had to work with many of them because of my kids being sick and needing to have respiratory treatments etc. Anyway, it takes two years to be certified, so it's something to think about. I certainly don't feel like being a waitress for the rest of my life. But for now it partially pays the bills.
Bailey is all into Thomas the train, so my brain is turning into mush watching the ever exciting episodes...it's almost as exciting as watching paint dry.....
I have been reading the Sookie Stackhouse series, HBO has a show called "True Blood" based on the series. They are pretty good. Kind of like a murder mystery vampire werewolf hot sex kind of book.....lol
Oh Naomi actually letting go of furniture now and standing for a couple of seconds. I am not impressed.

Rolling the dice is nice!

I usually don't gamble, but when I do, I always try to make it worth my time. Last week my friends on Facebook were pestering me about some kind of new game. It's called dice but not the regular kind you use for board games. There's a website where you can play with a virtual dice and bet on where it rolls.

Here's an example scenario. If you were betting on the dice stopping over 49, then you would press the "roll HI" button. Let's say the result was 70. That is within the range you selected, so you win!

As you can see, it's actually a good way to spend your time. I had a really nice winning streak when betting. In fact, one site claims that there's a bot for betting automatically. It should be able to do martingales and cancellation betting. I'm not a believer in those because you never win. There is a lot of lag that happens when you turn it on.

Naturally, you would probably blame variance if you lost too much, but it's actually because the sites are rigged. Entertainment is why I gamble, not for profit.

old picture

Can you find Gi Jye in this picture?
He is in the second row, standing next to the guy in white (first time meeting his older brother from America) In the very back are Gi Jye's parents, his Dad looks so much like him, but skinnier. Same no smile face though! lol
You can tell how poor they are, all the kids are dirty and shoeless and the adults look all worn out. His parents are in their 40s here, but look much older.
The little girl in front is Gi Jye's younger sister. A lot of people think Kai-Li looks like her, but I don't see it in this picture. She is so skinny. Now though She is chubbier, and I can see Kai-Li in her a bit.
Gi Jye's kid face reminds me of Kai-Li because he still had the chubby cheeks! But if you look one over from Gi Jye, you see his brother "Bo bo" and I think he looks a lot like Kai-Li, same chubby nose and same mouth.
The two old people in front are Gi ye's grandparents. The light skinned girl in the back with the bangs is Gi yes oldest sister. She still lives in China. I wish the picture was better quality. Maybe I'll ask his Mom if I can copy it. This is just a picture I took with my camera of the picture...lol
I didn't ask, but I am guessing this is his Mom's family and sisters, because they look alike.

The girls had their first gymnastics class of the year Saturday. Jasmine actually got put in the advanced class! I was worried because I thought she would be going to level 2, instead she was in a pre team class. I asked the owner why and he said they saw something in her and wanted her in the advanced class. She is so good at everything she does, the total opposite of me!
Jaden was a lot jealous and wanted me to sign him up as well. But I just do not have the money for him to go, he has a lot of other things going on, drums and maybe basketball again this winter, so I don't want to tie him down anyway...
Well I try,but I can't make everyone happy!

I thought I would jot some stuff down real quick before I get going to work.
The kids are really enjoying school so far. Jaden is in fourth grade and seems to be doing well so far. His meds are giving him some side effects he doesn't enjoy, mostly an upset stomach. I am wondering if it is because he was off them all summer and now he needs to get used to them again? I am going to speak with his Dr. again and see if there isn't something we can do.
Jaden is also refusing to sleep in his won bed. He says he is scared and wants someone to sleep with. So I have been letting him and Jasmine sleep ion the same room. I guess it can't hurt anything and they both sleep well. Jaden is pretty sensitive and sometimes he gets thoughts that upset him and he can't sleep. The other night he said he kept thinking that Baily, Kai-Li and Naomi had died. I went in and prayed with him about it. Prayer always works for me even for the smallest thing. Like when I lose something I ask God to help me find it and I swear as soon as I break down and say the prayer 90% of the time I find what I was looking for! lol
Jasmine is miss perfect for her teacher. The girl is so paranoid what the teacher will think that most of the time she will skip breakfast because she wants to make sure she is there on time!
Kai-Li loves her class, it's only three days a week and no nap time (which she is happy about) she goes to the same school as Jaden and Jasmine and so she gets to feel like a big kid now.
I know she is on the shy side and when she gets nervous she will start hitting her head with her hand....lol What a nut.
Oh we bought a used van today Honda 2007 with 20,000 miles!

Hooray! It's my friend's 29th birthday!

Today is the day that my best friend Allison was born. She's always been by my side since we were in kindergarten. After growing up and graduating from university, Allison was always there to help me. Even when I was having trouble with my ex boyfriend, she came over right away to help me. That's why I want to thank her and wish her the GREATEST birthday ever!

spending and more spending

He ran up to me and said "Mommy I so pretty!"(Kai-Li did his makeup) I took a picture and showed him how pretty he was, he still thought he looked pretty. LOL
I feel like I am spending so much money recently! First all new clothes for the kids and shoes backpacks etc.

Then Gymnastics and ballet is starting up again and there are the registration fees etc to pay.

We bought a "new" van and put a down payment plus paid taxes and registration fees as well as new insurance.

Then everything broke last month, microwave, DVD player etc. We put all new brakes and did an engine flush on our Honda Pilot.

Now Jasmine is turning 8 next month and I decided to get her a laptop since she has been begging for one forever and I think she is finally old enough to have one. I got a good deal on it, but still.......

I feel like I keep working and seem to have nothing really extra to show for it! I guess all the things are extra, but I really haven;t saved up anything this summer! I hope I can stop the spending for a while and save. But since we plan on going to Florida this winter something tells me if I do save anything it will be going toward the trip. I am estimating that for all of us it is going to be about 6,000...ouch! That is a high estimation, but I don't want to be under. Unfortunately Bailey will be three when we go, so he can't fly for free. But Naomi will.

I have been working four days a week now, with three days off in a row. It's nice to have those days off.

So excited for next weekend!

Next Saturday my family will be coming over to visit us. We're going to hold a huge party with balloons and cake! The kids are going to love it.

I literally cannot wait for my mother and father to come back. I haven't seen them in ages. The thought makes me so nervous and excited... After that I'll probably have Ben come over to take the kids to see a movie.

Has anybody seen the new Catching Fire movie? I believe it's still showing in the cinemas.

Happy 7th Bailey!!

Time sure flies when you're having fun! My baby boy is 7! How did that happen?  We had our usual home bound birthday and we all made his no bake cheese cakes he wanted...we may have made too many because we made 4 and still have two left...even though Jaden came home from his Dad's house and polished off quite a bit of one!  Bailey got more Skylander's (video game accessories) and a new Lego video game. Surprisingly he is not that into gaming, thank goodness, at his age we could not pry Jaden away. But he does enjoy playing for 15 minute spurts unless of course his sisters play Minecraft with him then I have to kick them off. I honestly do not get that game,  but I like it...doesn't have any violence and seems creative.
We had a wonderful Christmas as well.
Oh and here is Jaden turning 14!!! Now I feel REALLY old! ;) and yes he still loves gaming, but is doing really well now with an EIP in place and is growing up so fast it's crazy.

The above are a few pictures from Christmas. :)
So many things have happened since I last updated. Naomi turned 5, Jaden is 14! I can't even believe that one. Jaden grew about 9 inches since his last birthday and has a manly voice now, it's crazy how quickly they grow up. My Business is  growing and keeps me very very busy, I am so blessed with wonderful customers and just such a great network of friends making it very successful. of course when you are breeding dogs it's hand to mouth pretty much! And food and vet bills make for very little profit, BUT and this is huge, they are finally paying for themselves and I am not spending anything out of pocket anymore which is awesome. I honestly love what I do and it is not for everyone I am sure, but I feel it's my calling. Everyday I get a phone call from someone who has lost their best friend and needs that void filled, and I get to do that for them! It feel great!

Little Kobe is such a little fire cracker, he is so quick witted and smart, and get this NOT shy....he will talk to anyone and everyone, and I wonder if it has to do with us having strangers in our house quite often now! LOL. Love that little guy he is such a blessing.

Kai-li has been chosen to be a role model at school in an in school program for kids who are lacking in social skills. It is so funny because not long ago (preschool) Kai-Li refuse to speak to anyone or her teachers and now here she is showing children who are just like she used to be how to make friends and be more social.

Jasmine is still my beauty queen, she is so well liked and so opposite of me it's crazy. She is always stylish and knows everyone, not shy of adults and has everyone wrapped around her finger. Not at all awkward and shy like I was at 12...oh boy is she even mine?

Bailey is as usual my little bad boy, he is neck and neck with Naomi in height and weight and still in size 5. But When I look at Jaden I know that there is hope he may grow as Jaden was also the same size at the same age. Bailey has that little man syndrome though....LOL
I think I have covered everyone...

Me I am just sick sick sick, I just want to start feeling better and not wasting so much food! Gi Jye is at the store right now grocery shopping and I gave him very little direction except for "Make sure it's something I don't need to cook.." LOL I am awful right now, but it will end soon...right? right? LOL
We are having another baby due June 21, 2014! We found out via blood test that it is a healthy baby boy. We went to Dartmouth and got a test called "Harmony" it tests for the trisomy's as well as XY if you ask. Pretty happy baby is healthy and another boy, not sure how I feel about that at this point. But I am sure will be thrilled to pieces when he gets here! Now who wants to help me think of a name?

We got to try Hormel REV WRAPS as a Buzz Campaign last month and I was honestly impressed. I was expecting the wrap to have a weird after taste or just be a weird texture. They were actually really good. We bought several more after we used up our coupons too. These are quick on the go snacks, perfect for school snack, taking to game practices or games.
